The Davidson Plum is known as one of the best native plums. It is dark in colour and has a soft, juicy pulp with a sharp acidity. Davidson Plums occur naturally in a rainforest environment.Serving Suggestions
Davidson Plum makes excellent native jam and is a great addition to a fine summer fruit salad. It would also be exquisite as a glaze for top quality white meat such as turkey or corn fed chicken.Tips for Best Use
- Makes a great plum sorbet or coulis
- Use the dark rich plum in a 'native' upside down cake.
- Make a native chilli-plum sauce.
